Fire Blanket

A fire blanket is a fire safety device specifically designed to extinguish small starting fires erupting over ships or marine vessels. It comprises of a sheet of fire retardant material which is placed over fire in order to smother or suppress it. It is the first safety equipment used with fire extinguishers as first aid. These are non-flammable and are helpful in temperatures as high as 900 degrees and much useful in smothering small fires over ships.
